Italian Charm Watch

A couple weeks ago, I bought myself an Italian charm watch. For those of you who don't know what that is, remember those bracelets a few years ago, they were made out of metal, and stretchy..and you could change the links to put your own charms?

Like that? Well my watch is the same principle, except it has the watch part as well.

The store I bought it from doesn't carry Italian charms anymore. I looked all over town to see if I could find some, but I couldn't. It seemed like no one carried them anymore, so naturally I went scouring the Internet for some. Finally I found some and ordered them. I received them yesterday in the mail.

I ordered charms that were significant for me. I didn't just order any one that looked cute. I thought I would list the charms I got here and tell you guys why I bought them.

General Cancer Ribbon: In memory of so many family members who died from cancer.

Music Note: My whole life, I've been surrounded by music. I have a passion for music, just hearing the beat of a certain song can take me back to a memory.

Allergic to Penicillin Medical Alert: I'm severely allergic to penicillin.  I thought it would be a good idea to get one because if ever something happens to me, it's right there on my watch (that I wear all the time).

Live, Love, Laugh: I'm a firm believer that you should do all three things in life. Sure, you're living now, but are you really living? I've learned in life that you need to live, love and laugh without regret.

Believe: Because it reminds me that I need to believe in myself and in others.

I Believe In Miracles: I almost died when I was born (umbilical cord wrapped around my neck- I was all blue and in severe need of oxygen), and the doctors were able to save me.

Faith, Hope and Love: The three things that are most important in my life.

Footprints: This was my mom's father's absolute favorite poem. We were really close, and this reminds me of him.

Follow Your Dreams: The first time I was in college, I let one of my professors completely crush my dreams. I got this charm to remind me to always follow my dreams and not let anyone bring me down.

Courage: To remind me to have the courage to follow my dreams and not give up.

Class of 2006: That was the year I graduated high school. High school was such a significant time in my life, and I like to reminisce about it from time to time.

Great charms! Great reasons for getting charms! You definitely chose some significant memories. That is really cool. I don't have a charm bracelet or watch but I really like the idea of them now!
