The Holidays Are Over

I can't believe how fast my winter break has gone by. My last day of school was December 7th, and I only had one exam on the 13th. It's hard to believe it's already the 7th of January. I'm starting a new semester on the 18th.

Having about 5 weeks off of school is amazing, but it can get a little boring if you don't have much to do. Luckily, I was busy most of that time with work, family and friends. It was nice to get away from school for a while, but in all honesty, I'm kind of missing school.

The first couple weeks were filled with Christmas shopping and hanging out with my mother and brother when I wasn't at work. Then there was the quick trip to Ontario to visit my mother's side of the family.

Christmas was fairly quiet. My parents, brother and I spent Christmas Eve together, and went to visit my grandmother on Christmas Day. There was no big party, just a simple family get-together. Sometimes, simplicity is the best thing.

For New Year's, as usual, we went to Ontario to spend time with the family there. We hadn't seen them since July, and even though it was a short visit, it was very enjoyable. We're really close with them, so not being able to see them much is hard, but we manage through phone calls and Facebook.

All in all, my holidays were, however short, very enjoyable. I hope you all had a happy and safe holiday season.

My holidays are done as well! I go back to college on Monday. (For my last term - then I graduate in April - yikes!). How much longer do you have until you graduate? Glad you enjoyed your holidays. 5 weeks is a lot - I had 3 weeks and I thought it was a lot! :P I entertained myself with writing, working, partying, and seeing my boyfriend and family. So it was a good holiday and it still went by too quickly! Whereabouts in Ontario did you go (you can send me an email or something if you'd like). I'm from Ontario!!
